1) Get identity capital.
Do something that is an investment in who you might want to be next. Take time to explore work and make it count, like trying an internship.
2) The urban tribe is overrated.
Like-minded friends limit exposure to new things. New things come from weak ties: friends of friends of friends. Half of new jobs are not posted so reach out to your neighbor's boss.
3) The best time to work on your marriage is before you start one.
You can pick the family that you later create. Since people get married later, in their 30s, the time to be mindful of choosing your future partner is in your 20s.
